Cosmo Oil Marketing Begins Supplying Domestic Biodiesel “Cosmo CF-5” for Training Trucks and Other Vehicles at the Meitetsu Group’s Chita Driving School

Cosmo Oil Marketing Co., Ltd. (hereafter, "the Company"), a subsidiary of Cosmo Energy Holdings Co., Ltd., and Chita Driving School LLC (hereafter, "Chita Driving School"), a member of the Meitetsu Group, announced that they officially began supplying domestically produced biodiesel fuel, "Cosmo CF-5¹"—which meets the national standards for diesel fuel—for training trucks and other vehicles used at Chita Driving School from February 17, following trial runs.

Cosmo CF-5 is refined and produced from, in part, used cooking oil² collected from the Meitetsu Group. By adopting Cosmo CF-5 as fuel for its training vehicles, Chita Driving School will contribute to boosting the value of circular communities.

This supply initiative was realized in alignment with the Cosmo Energy Group's Vision 2030 goal to "expand next-generation energy" and the Meitetsu Group's mission to "work to improve the value of the region and give back to the community over the long haul.”

Notably, the use of biofuel in training vehicles marks the first such initiative in Aichi Prefecture³.

The Cosmo Energy Group and the Meitetsu Group are committed to supporting the realization of a decarbonized society through the use of biodiesel fuel, starting with this initiative.
